“Everything rests on the tip of motivation” -Tibetan Saying
I have the following intentions for my Move for Our Living Planet experiment:
- To establish a link between my mindful movement practice and the healing and restoration of our living planet. For me this means that every Mindful Movement Ceremony I complete will be directly connected to an act of conservation.
- To nourish the field of mindfulness, kindness, compassion and generosity everyday so that it is easier for others to act with mindfulness, kindness, compassion and generosity. I practice with the aspiration that my practice will be of benefit, that it will help, heal, restore, and inspire, even if the causal links are not clear.
- To raise awareness for a diversity of ecological issues and solutions as well as for the people, projects, campaigns and organizations that are making a positive impact toward restoring the ocean and healing the planet.
- To advocate for mindful movement as well as for an open and beneficial approach to the practice of mindful movement, which I call Mindful Movement Conservation. Mindful Movement Conservation is part of a broader path of spiritual engagement that I call “Living Planet Practice”.
- To create a community around practicing Mindful Movement Conservation. We can do so much more together!
- To honor and show my gratitude for the people who I believe are contributing to a more just, sustainable, compassionate and beautiful world (more on this soon!)
- To practice yoga every single day as part of a daily spiritual practice (that also includes other forms of mindful movement) that supports my health and wellbeing, helps me to cultivate mindfulness, compassion and insight, and enables me to express my creativity and care through acts of conservation.
